Lesson 125 Essay

I learned about three inventions and one inventor. The inventions are the piano, the thermometer, and the seismometer. The inventor’s name is Gottfried Leibniz. First, I learned about Gottfried Leibniz. The Leibniz wheel was crucial for mechanical calculators. He invented calculus and was a practical inventor and engineer. His progress with the mechanical calculator kept the field alive. Second, I learned about the piano. The piano is used for teaching music education. Playing the piano became a family event and its popularity fell in the 1900s. Third, I learned about the thermometer. Thermometers measure temperature. Thermometers are used in medicine to save lives and devise cures. Last, I learned about the seismometer. Seismometers measure earthquakes. The seismometer needs a scale to complete its measurements.
