If I Took A Trip Around The World
If I were to travel around the world from Dallas, Georgia, I would fly to New York City, then to London. From London I will go to Dubai. Next I would go to Bangkok. I would go to Sydney. From Sydney I would go to Santiago. Last place I would go is Madrid, before returning to Dallas. This journey would mostly be by plane, with stops in big cities. Unlike Phileas Fogg’s trip in Around the World in 80 Days, which used trains and ships and took much longer, modern air travel makes the trip much faster. With direct flights and fewer delays, I could complete the trip in about 2 weeks, much faster than Fogg’s journey in the 19th century.

My Favorite Movie
My favorite movie is The Super Mario Bros. Movie. One reason is major because I like playing Mario games and I’ve been waiting for a Mario themed movie to come out. Another reason is because there are different hidden “Easter eggs” in the movie and funny moments that made me laugh. I also like how good the quality of the graphics and they used songs from the actual Mario games.
The Best Time I Had With My Grandparents
The best time I had with my grandparents was with my grandparents on my dad’s side. It has been a few years since they came to visit our house. They would color, draw, and craft things with my siblings and me. We baked scones and made a fruit smoothie. We played hide and seek, I hid toys around the house, and we would go and try to find them. I was so happy to have them stay at our house for a few days and I hope to see them again.
Summary Of The Cat Of Bubastes
The Cat of Bubastes is a historical adventure book by G.A. Henty, set in ancient Egypt around 1250 BC during the reign of Pharaoh Rameses II. The story is about a young Egyptian priest named Amuba, the son of a family, who is caught up in a series of events. Amuba’s life changes when he is captured by the Hyksos, an invader, and taken as a slave to their camp. While in captivity, Amuba befriends a cat, which is sacred to the Egyptians, and its fate becomes the plot. The cat is identified as the sacred animal of the Egyptian goddess named Bastet, and Amuba and his friends must protect the cat. After Amuba escapes from the Hyksos, Amuba and his companions are forced to navigate through treacherous situations involving political integration, religious conflicts, and violent enemies. Amuba eventually returns to Egypt, where he must confront the forces threatening his homeland and protect the sacred cat.
Throughout the book, loyalty, bravery, and respect for the ancient Egyptian religion are shown. The story also shows the religious significance of animals in ancient Egyptian culture, mostly the position of cats. The Cat of Bubastes combines historical details with fictional adventure, providing readers with both an exciting plot and a window into the customs and beliefs of ancient Egypt.
I really enjoyed this story. There are many reasons why I like this book. I like adventure and battle. I am learning about ancient Egypt. My final reason is because I like animals too.
What I Have Learned English 6
I’ve read three books in English so far. I have never heard of any of these books before. First, I read “Railway Children”. It’s a family-style book that takes place in the 1900s. The father of three middle school aged children named Roberta, Peter, and Phyllis, is taken away by the police. Their mother and the three children have to relocate to the town of Yorkshire, with their home near a railway. The children love the railway and watching the trains that pass by. The story is basically about trying to find out who did the crime to help their father get out of jail. Second, I read “Hans Brinker or the Silver Skates”. The story takes place in the Netherlands and is about the Brinker family. The Brinker children, Hans and his sister, Gretel, did many different jobs to help pay for medicine for their very sick father. Now, I am reading “The Cat of Bubastes”. A historical fiction book written by G.A. Henty. It is the story of a young prince who becomes a slave when the Egyptians conquer his people, then bad things start to happen when his master accidentally kills a sacred cat, known as the Cat of Bubastes. I am still finishing the book and look forward to finding out what happens!
